Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of BIGDIG, the browser game at abigdig.com. By playing, creating an account, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them.
1. The game
BIGDIG is a shared, persistent world that all players dig together. World changes you make (removing voxels) are public, permanent, and visible to everyone. We may change, add to, or remove game features at any time as the game evolves.
2. Accounts
- You can browse the world as a guest; an account is required to dig.
- Provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and don't share your account.
- You are responsible for activity that happens on your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. Fair play
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, macros, or automation to play, or otherwise bypass rate limits and bot protection;
- exploit bugs for advantage (please report them instead);
- attack, probe, or attempt to disrupt the service;
- choose usernames that are offensive, impersonate others, or infringe rights.
4. Virtual items & currency
In-game currency, materials, items, finds, upgrades, and cosmetics are game features with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be redeemed for cash, are not your property, and may be modified, rebalanced, or removed as part of game changes. Any future real-world rewards, if offered, will carry their own terms.
5. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, exploit the game, or harm the service or other players. You may stop using the service, or request account deletion, at any time (see our Privacy Policy).
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, bug-free operation, or preservation of any game state. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us (currently: nothing).
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continuing to play after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
